Low stage metropolis flight within the new SR22

Cirrus SR22 City Orbit Flight. I like flying low stage round Melbourne’s CBD with passengers. In an SR22, a number of digital camera angles and Air Traffic Control conversations. I can not imagine how fortunate we’re to have the ability to do that! Thanks Essendon Tower and Air Traffic Control for being so versatile and attentive with us on the Melbourne City Orbits.

We depart Moorabbin Airport, climb to 1500′, then get airways clearance to enter Melbourne’s Class C managed airspace from Essendon Tower. We fly two proper hand metropolis orbits then depart down the coast VFR (visible flight guidelines). Then after testing the seashores, fly again into Moorabbin Airport for a pleasant straight in touchdown on runway 35L.

VERY IMPORTANT: I’m a personal pilot and am NOT certified to provide flying instruction. This video, like all movies on this channel, has been considerably edited from the unique supply footage and is supplied for leisure functions solely. Many radio calls and procedures have been omitted. If you could have any questions on something you see or hear, please converse to a Certified Flying Instructor first.

  1. Stefan, just had time to catch up on this one and its a lovely vid – yes always feels good to share the magic with non-pilots doesn’t it!? A few weeks ago I took my father in law up for his first flight ever in a light aircraft – on his 80th birthday. And he was like a 5 year old – didn’t stop smiling the whole time! Keep the great content coming.

  2. Congrats Stef, love the 22 ! I’m doing some self evaluation here, because I do NOT have any “old friends” that look like your co-pilot ! Great video as always, safe skies ! 🛫

  3. Another great video!! Always been fascinated by Australia!! I was a meteorologist in the US Air Force, always tried to get stationed at Learmonth Solar observatory!! Never made it!!

  4. I finally got our Grumman Tiger up from Tassie for a couple of laps of the city…Mind Blowing!! now come down to Tassie for some of the best VFR scenery there is!
